How royalties
should work
Music royalties are a mess
Artists are losing massive amounts of their royalty income annually due to fragmented, complicated, global collection systems. There are so many sources to collect from, most artists miss key revenue streams.
We collect every dollar from every source
Loud Commerce is a full-service royalty and rights admin built for music creators and their representatives. We register you directly with global societies for every royalty type, cut out middleman fees, and use tech powered tools to ensure you are collecting every dollar you are owed.

If it's royalties — we collect it

How it works

Publishing

Public Performance Royalties

These are royalties you earn when your song is performed publicly (like in a bar, store, or concert). We collect these royalties from multiple PRO’s (Performing Rights Organizations) both domestically and internationally. We administer both your “publisher share” and your “writer share” so you don’t have to lift a finger.

Mechanical Royalties

These royalties come from licensing your compositions to reproduce them. The most common mechanical royalty today comes from streaming on services like Spotify and Apple Music. Streaming is global so we collect these all over the world for you too. This is where things could really add up!

UGC Licenses

Royalties from social media (Tik Tok, Meta, X, etc)… each territory has their own license with these companies and we ensure you are getting paid from all of them.

YouTube Content ID

Optimizing, tracking, and identification of your copyrights on YouTube to ensure you get paid when you music is played or used.

Sync Usage

We administer any back end sync royalties including Cue-Sheets and international usage.

Live Performance Setlists

Did you know every time you perform a song you wrote, you are owed a royalty totally separate from your performance fee? We administer setlists from any performance where your compositions are performed. This ensures that you are getting paid when your music is played.

Master Royalties

Performer Recording Royalties

Royalties earned from your master recording collected from each individual label or distributor. As artists release music with more and more labels, these royalties can commonly be overlooked and forgotten about especially for releases with lower consumption. We hunt down every dollar you’re owed from all release partners. We also ensure your royalty calculations and historical payments are correct. We track recoupable costs and contract terms to ensure you are getting paid correctly.

3rd Party Performer Royalties (Producer or Collaborators)

Producers are commonly compensated with fractional shares of net artist earnings or PPD (published price to dealer) earnings. We work directly with each individual release label or distributor to track down any payments you are owed and administer your contract terms accordingly. It’s one thing to have a producer agreement or SAA (side artist agreement), but it’s another to ensure it’s enforced correctly.

Neighboring Rights

Featured Performer Share

Royalties from any public performance of the recording (ex terrestrial radio for US citizens). We affiliate directly with multiple major collection societies world wide ensuring you are getting the lowest fees and minimize withholding taxes.

Rights Owner Share

A much forgotten about royalty in today’s day. If you self distribute through a service like Distrokid, Stem, CD Baby, etc… chances are, you are the rights owner. There is a separate share required for rights owners to administer (sort of similar to the publisher share in performance royalties). We administer this share across multiple societies around the world.

LOD Payments

Producers or collaborators who are given LODs for portions of the featured performer share payments. We administer those directly with the corresponding societies.

Non-Featured Performer Shares

Royalties owed to collaborators who are not featured performers or artists on the recording (Producers, session musicians, background vocals, etc)… These shares require additional registration and a higher level of communication with societies directly.

FAQ's

What is your pricing?

We offer a flexible, competitive admin agreement.
Here are the top line terms:
  • 2 year minimum commitment
  • No upfront fees
  • 15% commission on royalties collected

Is Loud Commerce a publisher?

No, Loud Commerce is a rights administration company. Traditional music publishers retain your rights for a long period of time and only administer publishing. Loud Commerce only retains the right to administer your copyrights on your behalf and administers multiple royalty principles (publishing, neighboring rights, and master royalties). This allows you to always retain ownership and creative control over your work. Additionally, Loud Commerce has a non-exclusive licensing provision which allows you to still negotiate additional licensing opportunities without Loud Commerce's involvement.

What do you mean you collect "all" of my royalties?

Most administration companies only collect one or two royalty types. We collect all of them meaning you finally don't have to worry about being paid what you're owed for your music. We collect master royalties from your release partners, publishing royalties from both your writer PRO accounts and our publisher admin registrations, and neighboring rights for any featured, non-featured, or rights owner shares you're owed.
Royalties should be simple and that's what we are making them.

What is the minimum requirement for becoming a client?

While we are accepting clients on an application basis right now, there isn't any minimum earnings or consumption threshold needed for being a client. We aim to provide our admin services to music creators of all sizes.
